Join the CSE water-excreta researcher network.

CSE needs volunteers to help it in its study of the Water-Excreta Tales of Indian Cities. It is documenting the use of water in the city and the waste it generates.

CSE has been studying water and waste in Indian cities. It is looking for volunteers, who are prepared to join this research effort, by putting together information from their own city. It does not matter if your city is big or small. In the plains or in the mountains. The fact is that your city will be using water. We want to understand where the city gets its water from; how much and who uses it etc. If your city uses water, it also generates waste. The riddle is where does this waste go? Is it collected my local municipalities; is it treated; where is its disposal point.

We have prepared a detailed questionnaire, which we will send you, once you agree to join this water-excreta researcher network.

The work will require you to contact your local municipality; water authority; collect basic data and also do some checking on what is said. We will provide you basic information and also guide you (as far as we can) on who you should contact. You will have to do the digging.

Let us know if you can join. We cannot offer you remuneration. But we can promise you that the work is exciting and educating. Learning your own environment helps us all to make sense of our world.
