MEDIA RESOURCE CENTRE
Partnering with media

The Media Resource Centre dovetails its efforts with other CSE units to help disseminate information and establish enduring networks with various mass media channels. It conducts several Fellowships, Workshops and Training programmes aimed at mass media in South Asia to encourage environmental reportage. The unit also disseminates environmental reportage and news leads by maintaining a monthly Features Service.

Pushing industrial practices in India toward sustainability

he Industry and Environment Unit partners with civil society to play its role as a powerful watchdog of industrial practices to promote sustainable industrial growth. The unit also conducts the Green Rating Project (GRP) that rates the environmental performance of major industrial sectors in India.

Promoting health for all

E
nvironmental pollution in India results in a quarter of children deaths. In Delhi, air pollution causes one death every hour. High concentrations of DDT are recorded in mother’s milk and foetal blood. It gets worse. More than a million die every year due to water pollution. A mutated environment is leading to a sick India. Good health and good environment go together. The Health and Environment unit partners with civil society to demand good health for all.

CSE’s Pollution Monitoring Laboratory is an independent analytical, research and development laboratory that determines pesticide residues, conducts water quality analysis and monitors ambient air quality. It sets high quality performance standards and is run by well-trained professionals with extensive experience in numerous compound classes.
