participates in two major nature festivals in Jaipur and Delhi to sensitise people about
        water harvesting and conservation.
         In Jaipur, Rajasthan, mobile exhibitions
carrying posters in English and Hindi on water management and information on the
citys water situation were prepared for the weeklong fest organised by Virasat
Foundation, a Jaipur-based NGO. With the active participation of CSEs Environment
Education Unit at the event, a special Gobar Times in Hindi and English was published. The
event concluded on Jan 20, 2003 with a public meeting, where CSE held a public lecture on
        rainwater harvesting.
        In Delhi, CSEs Natural Resource
Management unit is participating in a Nature Bazaar from January 17 31, 2003
organised by Dastkar, a society for crafts and craftspeople.
The highlight of the NRMs stall is the artificial
rainwater harvesting system. The CSE stall also displays several posters on water
harvesting techniques. CSE has also organised several skits by children to sensitise
visitors about the value of water conservation. |
