This is the official website of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a Sri Lanka-based non-profit research organisation. They specialise in integrated management of water and land resources. As the institute is doing intensive action-oriented research in collaboration with 24 different countries, its data bank is rich, online and assessable.

The site allows you access 28,000 documents that are monthly updated. You can enter their media list to receive press releases and other information. The subscription to IWMI’s E-bulletin is free. You can enter into a dialogue on the related subjects with other surfer. On the top of it, certain sections of the site can be assessed in ten international languages. IWMI site is a gold mine of information – explore it!

Urban Wetland Meet

CSE announces a two-day meeting on the protection of urban wetlands in India. It is on October 3-4. This meet will also launch CSE’s urban wetlands campaign. The meet will focus on technical, legal, institutional perspectives on this issue. A press conference will follow the meet. All those interested in the issue are invited to join us.

Conference on urban supply management

International Water Association (IWA),is organising the second international conference on efficient use and management of urban water supply, on April 2 - 4, 2003. It will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, techniques and experiences to facilitate efficient and sustainable water use.To venue of the conference is the Canary Islands, West of the northern coast of Africa (Spain), known for its efficient water management system for years.
